Cross-Sector Collaborations Overview
Cross-Sector Collaboration Overview
Collaboration is common in education, but most often, discussions happen within the same sector: high school, community college, and university teachers frequently spend time with others from their same areas. Bringing together educators from both secondary and postsecondary sectors allows for work for their shared students and provides opportunities for system-wide strategy development and implementation.
This module was developed as part of a capstone effort for one the grants discussed, the Collaboration for Rural Student College and Career Readiness, funded by College Spark Washington Links to an external site.. It includes discussions about serving specific student groups (especially rural students) as well as more general information about cross-sector collaboration.
Module Overview
In this module, there are two main areas covered:
- examples of several different cross-sector collaborations in the Washington state education systems
- resources for those interested in planning and facilitating collaborations
If you would like to know more about any of the details, please contact the module developers.
