What is this "Hold" all about?

Holds are "negative service indicators" (blocking enrollment) that are placed on a student's ctcLink account for various reasons. These show up in your Student Homepage under the "Tasks" tab. You can access them for more information by clicking on the tab/service indicator itself. It will explain the steps needed to remove the hold and (hopefully) provide contact information for the department who placed the hold.

There are also positive service indicators (no impact) which are added to student accounts for multiple reasons. These indicators do not block enrollment and are more for college administrative purposes. Sometimes they look like holds though, so that's why important to click on the hold/service indicator itself for more info.
