Purpose: You will set up a profile on HelloTalk Links to an external site., Tandem, Links to an external site.or italki Links to an external site. with the intention to later meet a native French speaker who will serve as a communication partner for future activities.

Task: Decide which of these three apps you would like to use. (I prefer HelloTalk. My example profile is at the bottom of this screen.) Then, create a profile on that site/app that includes the following:

• a photo that represents you 
• the language you are studying (French) and the language you can help others with (your native language)
• a brief bio or tag-line that will help others feel comfortable to reach out and chat with you

As with any online interaction with people you don't know, use your best digital judgment and do not give out too many personal details.  

Grading Criteria: You will be graded on this assignment based on your completion of your profile. You will submit a screenshot of your profile after you have downloaded the app (or are using one of these sites on your computer). Your screenshot must show your photo (50 pts) and your brief biography (50 pts)  to earn the full 100 points for this activity.
