In this activity, you will learn another Interpersonal Communication Tip.  You will learn how to resolve conflicts or solve problems by making a helpful suggestion or making compromises.  

When we make suggestions to resolve a situation, we use phrases from the chart below.

Phrase Example
Subject + should + verb

You should always be polite.

We should always be polite.

Subject + could + verb

You could make more eye contact.

He could make more eye contact.

 

Use Let’s + base verb to make a suggestion for a group you are included in.

Let's try this problem again.

One more way to make a suggestion is to say How about + base verb +ing?
