Interpersonal communication is the way people communicate information and feelings between people. One way is with verbal communication. These are the words and sounds people use when they talk.
The other part of interpersonal communication is nonverbal communication. This is also called body language. Some examples are: the tone of a person's voice, the way people smile, or how they use their hands to communicate information or feelings.
What you say is important, but how you say it is also important.
