Welcome

This week you will achieve two essential learning outcomes. The first outcome you can achieve is listed as- following instructions and meeting deadlines. Get into the habit of turning work in on-time before the deadline expires, and follow the provided instructions. I am certain that you already know this is an essential skill in the workplace, for students, and for artists. 

Demonstrate this skill this week by completing the first module before the assigned due dates. Carefully read each assignments instructions. Ask questions if needed. 

Secondly, you will recognize the communicative power of the visual language. This week we will define art, and look at the functions of art and artists. In addition, we will begin visually thinking about art in our everyday life. Art is everywhere, and it has the power to communicate ideas. 

Beginning this week, please take time to recognize art and how it has effected your life.

6. Participate in an online discussion (2 hours)
7. Complete a quiz (30 minutes)
