Welcome to Art 100. Over the next 11 weeks, this course will introduce you to the elements of form, art media, and art history.
This course is taught online. We will not be meeting in a physical location as a group. However, you can reach me online, phone, or by office visit. Please communicate with me. I am here on your behalf. Roll will not be taken. However, it is your responsibility to plan on completing the weekly workload before the weekly deadline. Please manage your time wisely.
This class is composed of eleven modules. A new module is available every week beginning on Thursday @1:00 am. Plan to check the course for available work several times a week. Deadlines for each weekly module are every Wednesday night at 11:55 pm.

What to expect?
Every week you will be presented with reading materials, viewing materials, a quiz, and a written discussion of at least 350 words. In addition to weekly assignments, there will be two large assignments (photo, architecture) and two exams.
The deadline for week one module is Wednesday September 27th @11:55 pm. The module for week two will become available on Thursday September 28th @1:00 am.
About your instructor-
Tobe Harvey was born and raised in Eastern Montana. Currently, Tobe Harvey works as an artist, and instructor at Spokane Falls Community College. He moved to Spokane after receiving his Master of Fine Arts degree from Washington State University in 2001 with an emphasis in painting. In addition, Tobe Harvey holds degrees in art from Montana State University-Bozeman and Northwest College in Powell, Wy. Since moving to the area, he has been featured in the Spokesman Review, and Spokane/Coeur d’Alene Living Magazine.
