Where are the Required Listening Examples for the Course?

Objectives

• Download and Log into Spotify online

Once again a primary goal for the course is to keep costs down for my students. Thus, we will be going online for all our listening examples.

One of the places that you will be directed to for listening examples is Spotify. Here is the link

You are required to download the Spotify program into your computer and open a free account (it means you get exposed to advertising) or you can open a paid subscription (no advertising). Either one will enable you to access the site and listen to required music examples.

In addition to Spotify, you will be directed to other online sites, such as You Tube, and elsewhere to view listening examples or music videos. All these sites, with the exception of Spotify, do not require a subscription or log-in.

Note: the disadvantage in using You Tube is that from time to time, music videos get removed for one reason (usually copyright issues) or another. If this happens and you notice it, please drop me a line and let me know. Then I can try to find another link for the example.
