For this week's discussion, write a 350 word post which discusses the design principles used in two works of art and compare them. Discuss the two following included images.
Two images are below. Both images are oil paintings. Specifically, the painting is Vincent van Gogh's Links to an external site. Irises, from 1889. The second painting is Emil Nolde's Links to an external site. Flower Garden (Without Figure), from 1908. Please take some time to look at them. In addition to looking at the work, please feel free to use the internet to examine similar work by each artist.
For this discussion, I am not interested in reading quotes from experts or articles from the internet for this discussion. Your own opinions are interesting and refreshing. Use your own thoughts. Please use all that you have gained throughout the quarter in evaluating the work. Look closely at How Art Works- The Elements and Principles of Visual Language-2 to review the design principles. How are these two works of art similar in design? How are they different?
