Check ctcLink Student Center for Holds and Enrollment Date
Check your Hold list in ctcLink in case you need to do something! Some holds like: FA Tuition/Class Hold, Tuition Deferred, Tuition Date Extended, Prevent Enrollment Cancellation Concurrent or Dual Enrollment, Enrolled in TIPP, Financial Aid Less than FT, or Attended New Student Orientation are "good" holds--meaning they don't prevent you from registering.
Step 1: Click into "Tasks" from your Student Center (now Student Homepage)
Step 2: Click on "Holds"
Step 3: Click on the Hold to get details including contact info
Holds that have blocked students from registering include:
There are other holds that require action on your part, but do not interfere with registration. You should take care of those, you just don't *need* to take care of it before you register. I've seen a few, and will add more to this list as I can recall them, but the only one I recall right now is Transcript Hold.
For holds that require you to do something to clear them, you can find out who you need to talk to by clicking on the hyperlink under "Hold Item" in the Item List, and it should tell you who to call, and hopefully even provides a phone number or email address. If you need help figuring out who to talk to, please let me know.
Check ctcLink Student Center for Enrollment Dates
If you are having trouble registering, you can take a look for your Enrollment Dates to check and make sure your Enrollment Date is correct. I can fix it if it is wrong, but don't wait until Priority Registration day to tell me!!!
Step 1: Click Manage Classes
Step 2: Select the quarter you are checking for
Step 3: View Enrollment Dates
AND if you may be registered for the upcoming quarter(s) at both SCC and SFCC, OR if you will be registering for two quarters (only happens in the Springtime when we register for Summer and Fall on the same day) don't forget to click on "Change Term" to come back to select the other quarters/campuses here to check your dates:

Financial Aid Suspension due to Academic Warning or Probation
Whenever you have an Academic Warning or Probation hold, chances are you might also have a financial aid suspension. You can look in your ctcLink student center To Do list to see if financial aid is asking for a appeal, or you can be proactive and submit one. If you submit a appeal and are not on financial aid suspension, they'll just disregard it, so no harm in turning one in.
FYI if you have a large number of credits (think 115+) you might have a different kind of suspension that has nothing to do with your overall academic performance, but if you are suspended for academic performance after completing a large number of credits you may need a different appeal/process. Contact your financial aid office if you are suspended and have 115+ credits:
What to do: Tuition Balance Due
Due to some system issues, sometimes quarterly charges can be added to your account late. Even after your financial aid has disbursed and you received your refund. It can be quite frustrating, perhaps even more so if you find out only when you go to register for classes and encounter a block.
You can quickly check for a balance due by logging into your ctcLink Student Center. If you have a balance due it will appear in the Finances section
Balances must be paid in full or you must have satisfactory arrangements in place before you are allowed to register for future quarters. Some balances are easily dealt with, and others are more complicated. These may or may not be helpful things to think about if you have a balance due that you cannot pay right now.
Balance Questions? Payments?
Reach out to your colleges cashier.
SFCC Cashier - call 509-533-3569 or email sfcc.cashiersoffice@sfcc.spokane.edu
SCC Cashier - call 509-533-7025 or email scc.cashiersoffice@scc.spokane.edu
IF you have Financial Aid already awarded and it is not yet Spring quarter, call the Financial Aid office at your school to see if they can help you cover the balance due. They may not be able to offer you anything more than new or adjusted loans, which is a personal choice where you will have to decide what is best for you and your future.

IF you applied for financial aid or have some other funding source and you expected your tuition to have already been covered, you need to call whomever it is you were waiting on and find out what is happening. You may need to do additional paperwork, or something may have been lost in the mail.
IF you look at your account transactions, and compare them to your financial aid or other funding sources, or to your credit card statement/charges and see that an error has been made, you need to call Student Accounts and ask them to audit your account for accuracy: 509-434-5227 and/or 509-434-5228 (this is a District Office, you will need to say which campus you attend through and provide your ID number)
IF you want to ask questions about a charge that appears on your account, please contact Admissions and Registration at your school (cashiers can see charges, but they don't put them there so find out directly from the source).
