Health on Campus

Health and wellness is key to be successful in your journey through higher education. Below, we compiled lists that are useful to online and in person students. Please, remember even if you are a fully online student, you are always welcome on campus and we are always looking for different ways to engage & support online students more! 

If Transportation is a struggle, remember, your Student ID is a Bus Pass. You can get one without going on campus, see our guide for getting your Student ID! 

Health Clinic 

Directions to Health Center

The Health Clinic is located on SCC campus in Building 7. It is open to ALL Spokane Colleges students (Online, SCC, SFCC, ABE etc.) 

They have Nurse Practitioner Services, flu shots and other immunizations, contraception and sexual health services. Open, Monday - Friday 9 am - 2pm.

Mental Health

Group Therapy 

  • Group Therapy is a great place to gain knowledge and practice with mental health processing skills. All group therapy sessions are offered in person AND on Zoom. Current therapy topics are; General Support, Beyond Blue and How to be Happy.   Contact ronda.hain@scc.spokane.edu or 509-533-8647 for future Group therapy offerings.

Wellness

Cosmetology - Inspiration Salon

Directions to Cosmetology

Cosmetology students staff our Inspiration Salon at SCC campus in Building 1. They offer Hair Styling and Color, Hair Removal, Lash and Brow Tints, Spray Tans, Nail and Esthetics Services.  All Cosmetology services are available to the public.

Fitness Centers on Campus 

Fitness center memberships are a student funded resource, you can use the fitness centers with out any additional charges. Each fitness center has a variety of weight machines, free weights and cardio equipment.

Clubs 

Taking part in clubs helps you make connections with other students and your community. There are several clubs that have virtual joining options but if there is a club you are interested in that does not, talk to one of our success coaches and we will help advocate for online options.

eLearning has a special resource, called Peer Mentoring, which is a casual & flexible virtual group you can participate in. Led by current students, join any of their zoom meetings for community or help with classes! Check out Peer Mentoring with Pan here and with Angel here.

Basic Needs

In order to be a successful student it is important to take care of your basic needs. 

Both SCC and SFCC have on campus food pantries for students in need. Each student can use the food pantry 3x per academic quarter.
