Online Students and IT Support at SCC/SFCC
π³This is one area that gets a bit murky because there are far too many "cooks" π©πΎβπ³ in your online "kitchen" to keep it all straight without a little help.π§ Here is a recipe for technological pie that ought to keep you better organized in case you have questions or something goes wrong π₯π§―:
π§ 1st Ingredient: Your ctcLink username and password

- This is your Student Account with your school
- ctcLink is where you register for classes, check grades, interact with student services such as Financial Aid, etc.
- Canvas (where your online classes are) is linked to ctcLink, and you use the same username and password to log in to both systems. Be sure to bookmark both and name the bookmarks accordingly if not automatic.
- IT Support helps you if you have trouble with your student ID and password
- if you are trying to get into Canvas and can't, make sure you do not press 1 when calling IT Support-- that is Canvas Support, and they can only help you once you are already inside Canvas 509-533-4357

This is your school-provided email address
- Even if you do not plan to use your school email address, there are several reasons to activate the account
- Your school-provided email address can be used to log into your school-provided Microsoft Office 365 account, school computers, various campus online forms, campus wifi, library, and other web-based resources.
- IT Support helps you if you have trouble with your student bigfoot email account and password

- If you come to campus for any reason, you have your own personal log-in credentials to access wi-fi and campus computers
- You use your Bigfoot email account as your CCS Network credentials (SCC and SFCC Networks too!)
- IT Support helps you if you have trouble with your student network credentials and password
