Getting Synchronous
Synchronous online communication tools have become plentiful over the years. While there are a ton of tools available, eLearning institutionally supports two. While we have had Canvas Conferences for years and will continue to support it, we are excited to introduce the Zoom platform to our faculty and staff. Zoom is a very easy tool to use for video conferencing and chat. While it isn't built into Canvas, like Canvas Conferences, it does have some features, such as mobile friendly video conferencing, that we feel could bring value to your students' online learning experience. As we've stated previously, completion of this module provides each user a personal Zoom account. For those who would like more training on Canvas Conferences, please reach out to eLearning and we will schedule something for you.
