Your Professors

Your instructors will have particular expectations about how you format your writing and cite your sources. My best advice is to go to their office hours with a draft of your paper, including your citations, for them to review. They will let you know right away if your draft is headed in the wrong direction! If you're not sure what your instructor expects, ask. If they say that they don't care how you cite things (which is rare), then it's up to you be sure you're following the format correctly.
