How to add students to manually-created Canvas class

people canvas.pngFrom your canvas class, go to the People section of the left-hand menu.

  • Now you should be at the People page.

  • Click the +People Button.
  • Add students by ctcLink ID numbers. You will find the number on their ID card or the folder for that student. You can also request it from the Instructional Tech who handles your class.

  • From there it's a simple process. You can add students all at once if you like. Just copy paste a list of their ctcLink IDs.
  • Each student added like this will receive an invitation to the Canvas course. Be sure to add them as Student. Anyone who gets added as Teacher can edit the page. This is useful if you want to give a colleague access to your page with their own credentials.
