  • First, learning to use the fewest coins to get the correct change. Requires knowledge of coin values. Mnemonic, "start big, go smaller."

It’s easier than counting a full amount after calculating it, and is great for customer service, (Career readiness) Here we teach “Start small, go bigger,” in chunks up to 25, then 50, then 75, then dollar, then up to five, up to ten, and so on.
