How do I log in to Canvas?

To log in to Canvas you will need the following to be successful:
  1. Know your Student ID
  2. Make sure you have set up your account in ctcLink
  3. Know where to access Canvas
  4. Know how to sign in

Know your Student ID

Your 9 digit student ID is necessary to access a variety of different resources.

In this case, we will need it to be able to set up ctcLink and access Canvas.

You can find your student ID at the bottom of your student ID card, or by calling the IT help desk at (509) 533-4357.

 

Set up your ctcLink Account

Is this your first time accessing ctcLink? If so, you will need to set up your account.

Start by going to the ctcLink login page.

 

Go to ctcLink Links to an external site.

 

Then click the link on the bottom of the page to "Activate My Account". Fill in the requested information as outlined by How to activate your ctcLink account Links to an external site.. If you need assistance activating your account, contact the Community Colleges of Spokane's help desk at (509) 533-4357.

 

Know how to get to Canvas

Canvas can be accessed in a couple of different ways. One easy way to access Canvas is to go to the homepage of either SCC Links to an external site. or SFCC Links to an external site. and click on Student Tools. That will open a drop down menu that will take you to Canvas.

Alternatively you can access Canvas using the URL https://ccs.instructure.com/.

Tip: Bookmarking Links to an external site.the Canvas homepage is helpful for quick access later.

How do I sign in?

 

Sign in to Canvas with your 9 digit Student ID number and ctcLink Password.
