Module Overview - AI in Education

Introducing "Foundations of AI in Education"

AI is evolving quickly as new tools and uses are developed and current perceptions adjust in response. AI has already made a significant impact on education and will continue to do so. It is, therefore, critical that educators understand the key issues surrounding AI in education and are prepared to talk with their students about AI use in their courses. The purpose of this module is to provide a brief overview of what AI is, the key issues, and to provide resources that instructors can use to explore further. The materials within are aimed to help instructors better understand AI, while providing resources for instructors to use when engaging with their students on the topic of AI in their classrooms.

"No one expects every professor of math, history, economics, and literature to understand all of this fully, but many will be impacted in their teaching and in their profession. So, while not many educators have reached expertise in this, it is something we can all learn with our students and also with other educators within our institutions and around the world."
