How Ally Helps Our Students
Accessible Content
Ally creates alternative files that are easier to use by all students. It works within your online course so it's available right where you need it. Alternative files include readable text for screen readers, pictures with captions, and easy-to-navigate content. Ally creates multiple alternatives from the original documents in your course. Students can download these alternative formats anywhere that files are used.
Alternative Resources
Ally provides your students with the following alternative formats that will prove useful in many different situations:
Tagged PDF’s
HTML
ePub
Electronic Braille
Audio (MP3)
Translated Version (certain languages)
Language Learners/Commuters
Students can use the various formats to match their lifestyles. The MP3 version can be listened to on the commute home. The ePub reader version can be downloaded to the user's electronic device instead of using paper copy. Translated versions can assist students whose first language is not English. This can be turned off by foreign language instructors to prevent the student from downloading and uses a fully translated version of the documents
