Overview:

Universal Design for Learning is an approach to designing your course to include and provide access to all of our learners. Keeping in mind the different hindrances that impact our students, UDL inspires us to meet students where they are and provide choice and opportunities for them in our classrooms. This approach offers flexibility in the ways students access material, engage with it and show what they know. While this could sound overwhelming, this module advocates for the +1 approach. The +1 approach gets us to go from overwhelming to innovative in that we don't have to change our whole course, but rather 1 item.

Module Objectives:

  1. Identify how principles of UDL can be incorporated into our course design.
  2. Provide the +1 approach to an assignment or course resource

Tasks:

  1. Post in the "Where are We at?" Discussion
  2. Submit the Moving the Needle Assignment
